Hey Chrissettes!

Not too long ago, I recently went over some of the hottest runway trends (which you can read here: Night One & Night Two). But now, it’s all about the bling bling we call jewelry.

Like the makeup, hair, and the clothes, jewelry plays a huge role on and off the runways as well as your wardrobe. One may not think it’s such a big deal, but adding something as simple as one ring can change up your entire ootd.

What I love about Stella & Dot is that their jewelry is socially responsible, meaning that there’s no child labor involved. Each piece of jewelry is made by by the finest artisans, stone cutters, and component makers – all while sourcing materials in an ethical manner. Each piece is guaranteed to not only be a unique addition to your jewelry box, but is also accessible for everyone.

Like the world of fashion, there are tons of trends to try out and it can be difficult to figure out which ones to try or vice versa. Starting after the related content section, I’ve chosen five of the hottest Stella & Dot jewelry trends to try right now.

Statement Ear Cuffs

Details: Pavé Arrow Ear Cuffs

Ear cuffs have been a popular jewelry staple for a few years now. Having appeared on numerous runways as well as celebrities, ear cuffs are a great way to glamourize your ears, whether they’re pierced or not.

Regardless of you go maximalist or minimalist like these Stella & Dot earrings featured here. What I like about these is that even though they seem so simplistic, these tiny details still make a statement with their unique designs and crystal accents. For me, these types of ear accessories are perfect for everyday wear. Just be sure that the ear cuff fits snugly around your ears, so you won’t lose them.

Hardware

Details: Essential Fringe Necklace, Rebel Pendant Necklace

I once saw Brooklyn Beckham wear a safety pin on his ear and oddly, it left a lasting impression on me. Not really sure why, but it did make me think about the hardware trend that’s currently popular.

While I do love myself a chunky gold chain or two, hardware can become very delicate like this Rebel Pendant Necklace or boho like the Essential Fringe Necklace.

Stella & Dot Jewelry: Hammered Wire Small Hoops, Pave Protective Eye cuff, Pave Rectangle cuff, Triangle Lariat Necklace

Geometric Shapes

Details: Hammered Wire Small Hoops in Gold, Pavé Protective Eye cuff, Pavé Rectangle cuff, Triangle Lariat Necklace

Shapes of any kind are a minimalist’s best friend. I’ve seen countless earrings that have taken the form of faces and body parts (just so you know, they’re pretty, by the way), but the classic triangle, circle, or any other shape you can think of remains a classic staple.

Tassels

Details: Miramar Sunglasses in Blonde, Open Druzy Cuff, Gita Tassel Earrings, Fringe Tassel Earrings (2 in 1)

This is another jewelry trend that’s been in vogue for a while, but like many of the others, tassels have gone through some changes, too.

Instead of the usual suede, some tassel favorites are beads or metals.

Bonus: the Fringe Tassel earrings can transition from a tassel to a cute stud as easily as taking the tassel off.

Animal Inspired

Details: Wisten Feather Earrings, Double Horn NecklaceCovet Crosby bag, Faceted Ball Chain, Elephant Charm in Gold

I’m an avid collector for any animal/reptile inspired jewelry. I can’t tell you how many I own, haha. 😛

Whether you like feathers, horns, little elephants, or a reptile or two, there is something for everyone and for every style. For example, the Wisten feather earrings would add some bohemian flavor to your look while this cute Elephant charm would add some daintiness on your neckline.

While it’s one thing to style clothing, it’s a whole other thing to style jewelry. That’s why I’m pretty excited to share with you this amazing guide by my friend, Bonnie Bontempo. A Stella & Dot senior stylist, she shared with me her secrets on how to style and choose the right necklace for every occasion. 1. I’m not much of a jewellery wearer, I’m not sure why it’s a bit weird really. I don’t even wear my wedding ring haha. There’s nothing to read into there, I just always think I’m going to break or lose it. I do love these pieces though, especially the delicate chain. Maybe I should start investing in some quality items! Thanks for the inspiration x

    1. Same here, haha! My style leans on the minimalist side of the fashion spectrum, and that goes for my jewelry, too; I tend to stick with a cute pair of earrings or a single ring on my pointer finger. I totally get it! I tend to lose things easily, so I get a little worried when I wear, let’s say, a ton of rings. I definitely recommend it! Even though I don’t wear a ton of jewelry myself, I like knowing that I do have something to use in case I ever want to. x

  2. I’ve been wanting a pair of ear cuffs and didn’t know Stella & Dot had some. I like the one you have and need a pair like that. I hope it fits my ears cuz the one thing I’m afraid of is losing it.

    1. For a jewelry boutique, Stella & Dot has a pretty wide (not to mention, impressive) selection. They even recently expanded into apparel, too. These should definitely fit! My ears are pretty small, but it fit me just fine. I’ve provided the link to these ear cuffs beneath the bottom of the photo if you’re interested. 🙂 x

    1. I feel the same way- I love it when jewelry be both unique as well as a classic staple. <3 They're truly a fantastic brand. 🙂 x

  3. These pieces are so beautiful! I love them all, but my favorite is tassels. There is just something about them that makes them unique and I love that. Thanks for sharing, Chrissy 🙂

  4. It’s almost crazy how I used to always wear statement jewelry, now I’m a 100% minimalist girl. That’s the beauty of jewelry though. You can express yourself in any way you want. Geometric shaped earrings are definitely my favorite! I need to check out Stella & Dot for some of these pieces 🙂

    1. I agree! I’m a huge fan of ear cuffs as well. They’re a really great brand and they have some fantastic minimalist jewelry there as well. If you check out the Stella & Dot collab with Rebecca Minkoff, they have a stunning set of earrings that come with an ear cuff (I’ll be blogging about it very soon, too!). x
