Fashion is a concept that’s always evolving, and so is style, but to a certain extent. Basically, think of fast fashion trends versus your staple piece you can’t live without.

Being the kind of person that I am, I love to dabble with different, new looks. This way, not only can I learn more about my preferences, I can also learn new ways to create OOTDs after my own dark heart.

But I have to say, looking at some of last year’s outfit choices made me die a little more inside. I’ve chosen my top three worst looks of 2016 based the photos you’ve seen on my blog, The Chrissy Collective.

Let’s start with number 3.

Not in Their Natural Habitat Award: The Swimsuit Trend

One of last year’s oddest trends were to replace your bodysuit with a chic one-piece instead. Having only one in my closet (I’m more of a bikini gal), not only was I pretty limited, swimsuit-wise, but it was just weird to begin with.

I wouldn’t complain, however, if I had a different kind of swimsuit, though. Also, I found out how much I love bodysuits, a much better alternative if I say so myself.

Too Basic to Repeat Award: The Old Chrissy OOTD

Several years ago, this was one of my favorite looks. It was fashionable as well as easy to put on. However, times change and so did my personal style. Bringing this look back, on the other hand, needs to go back to where it once came- the past. Unless if I can work my magic, lol, jk. Maybe.

Wtf was I Thinking Award, aka the Worst OOTD: Boho-Stewardess, Anyone?

Every time I look at this disastrous outfit, I want to shrivel up and die some more. However, I did learn a few things from this:

1. Never recreating this again, ever.
2. Not all trends are made for everyone, in this case, the neck scarf trend and me. Like Mariah Carey at the New Year’s Eve celebration in NYE, we don’t belong together.
3. I know how to create much better looks after constantly criticizing myself for this one, lol.

So, I hope you had a good time reading this as much as I did writing this. Well, sort of. I think I died a few times with the last one. But whew, out with the old and in with the new, right? Stay tuned for my next blog post coming up on Wednesday where I talk about my top 3 looks!
