I’m pretty sure you’ve heard of the saying, “once a city girl, always a city girl”, and I believe in it. Ever since I was born in such a location, my undying love for the city lights and buildings that seemed to reach the clouds continues to grow as I live and breathe in San Diego.
I’ve been living here for a while now, and like Hong Kong, I was immediately drawn to Downtown with its restaurants and stunning architecture.
I was really excited to collaborate with local San Diego brand, Lynt. Andrea Tobin, founder and owner, creates everyday staples by using only performance material, aka your favorite gym attire.
Lynt aims to create versatile, statement pieces for the woman on-the-go such as myself, and it definitely lives up to its name, even more so with the rising popularity in athleisure and sports wear.
One of my favorite go-to looks is better known as the model-off-duty. Not only does it look effortless, it also happens to be comfortable at the same time. My trick to creating Gigi Hadid/Kendall Jenner inspired looks is to stick to as few colors as possible as well as sticking to a similar color family (think neutrals).
For today’s outfit, I wore a Lynt bodysuit paired with black skinny jeans from SheIn and my favorite suede booties from Charlotte Russe. I also added an oversized men’s jacket for a vintage touch.
Going back to creating your own model look, see how my outfit stuck to two basic colors? Both the black and the red don’t overpower each other, resulting in an outfit that looks put together.
TL/DR; use a few colors that enhance each piece, not fight for it.
