Although I’m relatively new to the world of hair care, this doesn’t necessarily mean my experience and knowledge is the same level, too. Rather, I love ensuring that my hair stays healthy and shiny as I will probably start going wild with hair colors in the near future
silver hair, here I come.
In collaboration with Jamerly of Mane-Attire, aka the October Muse, we’ll be sharing some tips on how we maintain our manes during the night and day.
Going to my hair now, I have an odd texture of both thin and thick with the former being the most prominent. In addition, it’s color processed and tends to get oily in a matter of days
I preferably like to start my hair care routine during the evening as I have more time, among other things, even though I currently only use two products for my hair: shampoo and conditioner.
Normally, we’ve all grown adjusted to washing with shampoo first before conditioner, but I do the opposite thanks to this nifty article I read on Refinery29. Artistic director of Kératese, Nina Dimachki adds to this by saying:
Conditioning before you shampoo is great for adding nourishment to fine hair without weighing it down. It also promotes a longer lasting blowdry and primes the hair before cleansing, allowing the shampoo to distribute easier and evenly.

As for the two products I use, I’m obsessed with Paul Mitchell’s Tea Tree series, my favorites being the Special and Lavender Mint. I love the tingly sensation I feel on my scalp thanks to key ingredients like Mint and Peppermint, just to name a few.
In addition, I’m a huge lover of nature, and Tea Tree’s Green Takeover program not only helps support rainforests in Haiti and Peru, it also helps communities that live in the area.
