Or is this too weird? Please let me know if that’s too weird or not. I eventually want to start using YouTube in the near distant future, so you can say I’m getting ready for it… 😉
I recently got together with Sonia Johnson, an independent consultant of Rodan + Fields, to test out one of their miniature kits for micro-dermabration.
In case you’re not too familiar with them, here’s a very brief bio about the anti-aging, skincare brand:
-Rodan + Fields was founded by Dr. Katie Rodan and Dr. Kathy Field, who are known to be world-renowned dermatologists, in 2002
-Fun Fact: they were the creators of Proactive.
Remember how you’d always see the commercials every single time? Yeah, that’s the one.
So, if you’ve been following me for a while
I know I don’t have that many skincare posts just yet, you may already know that I love taking care of my skin. Let’s face it- it’s literally the only skin you have, so why not take care of it the best you can?
I once read that once you hit the age of 20+, your skin already starts to deteriorate even more. Skin starts to get loose, baby wrinkles are appearing on your forehead, and I’m only just naming a few.
So, when I received some of their products in the mail, I was really excited to try it on. As much as I love taking care of my skin, I also love testing out skincare products.
According to this miniature kit, it’s supposed to help brighten and firm your skin’s complexion while fighting off wrinkles on both your face and lips. I wasn’t aware that my lips could get wrinkles,
and boy was I shook.
Going back to the
only picture that’s in this post, the first step is to apply the salt and sugar scrub (the white packet) that contains Vitamins C and E for 30 to 60 seconds.
After rinsing it off, I then used the blue capsule which was
secretly a REDIFINE night serum that helps improve skin texture by fighting off those pesky wrinkles. I focused more on my forehead because that’s where the majority of my own fine lines were located.
Last but not least, I applied the last, silvery capsule onto my lips as this helps fight off the lip wrinkles
I didn’t know about. And no, I’m not being sarcastic.
After checking my skin’s complexion the next day, I was pleasantly surprised by the results: my skin felt firm to the touch and I felt like my skin was glowing. I personally love a good facial scrub, so that was probably my favorite part of the whole three-step process.
My lips even felt different in a good way, too. I’m the kind of girl that forgets to bring her Chapstick around, and as a result, I get chapped lips. So, you can imagine my surprise when I felt how, for a lack of a better word, rejuvenated my lips felt.
So, do I recommend this? Yes! I feel that it’s so important to test new things out, especially when it comes to your face. Being a person who different skins types, I’m always on the lookout to find what’s best for my skin- and you should, too.
