Project: noun [präj ekt] an individual or collaborative enterprise that is carefully planned and designed to achieve a particular aim.
Muse: noun [myüz] In Greek and Roman Mythology, each of the nine goddesses that preside over the sciences and the arts; a source of inspiration for a creative artist.
Over the years, people tend to look upon others for inspiration, for guidance, and for admiration. I first started dreaming of this Project in 2012 with the everyday person in mind, and for a long time, I wasn’t sure how to go about it until I found out about the death one of my own Muses, the late Bill Cunningham, who celebrated the everyday person through his photography. He believed in the stories behind the clothes were just as important as those that were showcased on Fashion Week. I soon launched Project Muse in August of 2016 shortly afterwards, and since then, it has been well-received by people across the globe.
As of November 2016, Project Muse will be accepting applications from beauty bloggers.
