Meet Michelle, the owner of travel/style blog Maps & Muses. She has worked in the fashion industry for years but decided to quit the 9-6 life to live her dream and travel the world. Follow along on her fashionable adventures across the globe as she teaches you how to dress stylishly while you travel.

This year I am spending Valentine’s Day with my love in Thailand! Thailand is absolutely gorgeous and a romantic place to spend the most romanticized day of the year. We are in the northern town of Chiang Mai for Valentine’s Day and can’t get over this beautiful, hippie city!

What to Wear: Thailand in February is HOT! Make sure to wear something thin and flirty on your date with your boo. You don’t want to show too much skin as Thailand is a modest country and you should always respect the culture.

A feminine, off the shoulder, knee length dress with a fun pattern is perfect for the weather and the occasion. Slip on a denim jacket at night and in the morning when it gets chilly or to cover up for one of the temples. Thailand is casual so slip on some cute sandals and a great cross body bag and you’re ready to go!

Outfit Details:

Dress: ASOS
Jacket: American Eagle
Shoes: Forever 21
Sunglasses: TOMS
Purse: Travelon

Have all day in Thailand?

Go to an Elephant Sanctuary: What better way to spend Valentine’s Day than playing with adorable elephants with your best friend! Head over to Elephant Jungle Sanctuary or Elephant Nature Park. Both rescue formerly mistreated elephants and let you spend the day feeding and bathing them.

NEVER ride the elephants.

Have a few hours?

Get Lost: The best way to see Thailand is to get lost in the city! Check out the different shops, restaurants, and all the gorgeous temples. Find a market and immerse yourself in all the amazing smells, foods, and shopping.

Spend a few hours with your love wandering through alleyways and finding hidden gems throughout the city. And, make sure to get a renowned Thai massage!

This will definitely be my favorite Valentine’s Day to date. What was your favorite Valentine’s Day? Let me know in the comments!
